Do you ever have one of those moments when you’re just sitting thinking about what you’re going to do this weekend, and then you wonder if you should make a list, and then you try to remember if you have a pen around, and then you think… whatever happened to cursive?
Seriously what the hell happened to cursive!?!
I remember in 3rd grade being told that cursive would be an imperative part of my adult life and no one would take me seriously if I didn’t know how to write in cursive… I CALL BS!!!
Not only have I never written in cursive in my adult life, but people totally take me seriously… shut up.
I posted this question on my Facebook page and pretty much no one cared enough to even discuss cursive’s disappearance, well one person pointed out there was a cursive font option and another said that cursive is dead like latin…

HA! Cursive has gone underground. The world has change, but there’s still a market for it. “Ordinary” life has no problem living without it, though. Teachers who grade papers are probably thrilled with kids using computers.
The one good thing about cursive was once you got out of the grade where they actually monitored and graded handwriting, cursive was great to show personality …for a while I decided to slant letters to the left in stead of right, the letters could be very slim and angular of fat like balloon..and the dotted “i’s” and ways to cross “t”…in a very sit in straight rows in alphabetical order classrooms, it was a chance to be artistic – or annoying. I know 4 ways of writing capital “I” – and then there’s the “s” and “q”. Kids aren’t as bored as we were I guess.

OH, forgot about the “r” I finally created a hybrid between cursive and print one
umm… I use the curse part all the time… like when I can’t find a pen…
I write in beautiful cursive every single day. 🙂
